Uch Sharif - is among those historical city founded by Alexander the Great. Uch Sharif was the place located in confluence of Indus and Chenab. It is now 100 KMs away from the 'Kot-Mithan'.
It was important centre in India, and had a strong hold on Delhi-Sultanate.
In 712.A.D at the time when Muhammad Bin Qasim led expedition of sub-continent at that time it was the area considered as the Centre of Islamic Studies in South Asia.
Flooding in the early 19th century caused serious damage to the tombs, including structural problems and the deterioration of masonry and finishes.
The Tomb of Bibi Jawindi - in Uch Sharif half of the tomb has been deteriorated due to floods and enviromental changes seriously need attention of Archealogical and Museum management authorities to preserve heritage and place to promote tourism.
