Prem Ratan Dhan Payo recorded the third  highest opening weekend of all time after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dhoom 3. Prem Ratan had one major holiday though its Sunday did not fall in the weekend, Bajrangi Bhaijaan had a major holiday on Saturday followed by a Sunday while Dhoom 3 had no holidays and just the normal Sunday.

 The holiday factor on Saturday and Sunday means Bajrangi Bhaijaan remains the only film to cross 100 crore nett in three days as far as Hindi films go. Last years Diwali release Happy New Year had grossed around 93 crore nett in three days so Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has added around 3 crore nett on that.
