It is very unfortunate that the online shopping giant Amazon has recently launched a doormat printed with the Indian flag in spite of knowing that it might hurt the patriotic sentiments of the people of India. India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj rightly fumed on social media after discovering how Amazon sells doormats printed with the Indian flag upon it. She demanded an apology from the e-commerce giant for featuring products which humiliate India on their site. It was made clear to Amazon that the sale of such products should be repealed at the earliest. Amazon on Thursday has apologized to the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
