Renowned singer, guitarist and philanthropist, Bono from Irish band U2 might never be able to hit the guitar chords again, reported The Independent.
Sharing his yearly A-Z round-up on U2’s website, Bono wrote about the motorbike accident that took place in November:
“Recovery has been more difficult than I thought... As I write this, it is not clear that I will ever play guitar again. The band have reminded me that neither they nor Western civilization are depending on this.”
Although the vocalist started out as a guitarist for the band, now he is rarely seen playing the instrument.
The motorbike accident has left Bono with “humerus bone sticking through” his leather jacket, implying that he now has a titanium elbow. He has also written that he has no memories of the accident because he blanked out when it happened.
The letter which also talks about iTunes controversy linked with U2’s latest album Songs of Innocence also revealed that he would be refraining from public appearances. He further wrote that the letter would serve as the only communication with his fans till the first half of 2015.
