When working on film, its a common misconception that the film that you will work on is like the films that you would make, but that is No way true, you can work on everything and anything, as happened to me recently.
As I said in a previous blog, experimental is not my thing, I'm a straight drama kind of guy, but I'm not afraid to work on anything, and with my level 6 Crewing I worked on a few films that I wouldn't make and really didn't understand.
The most among these was Cake break by Dan Daley, I was on 4 days of shoot for that film plus some post and yet I didn't understand what was going on in the film as I was making it.
But that shouldn't and didn't detract from my eagerness and quality of work, I did as I should and went away bemused but happy. and then I saw a final edit and loved it, it converted me to watch some more experimental films.
So why am I telling this crewing story, well it goes to show that if you shutter your eyes and only work on certain films you can miss out on a whole lot. so that's what I've learned from this process.
So that's what I've l have to say on this matter.
Thanks for reading, I'll See you soon.
