UNESCO world heritage site under control of the ISIS.

The town of Palmyra with its ancient ruins in Syria which is described by the United Nations as one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world has been taken control by the ISIS extremists after they have seized more than half of Syria.  The ruins at the UNESCO world heritage site are famous for its 2,000-year-old Roman-era colonnades and priceless artifacts. Though the ISIS has not damaged the ruins so far, but its destiny is dark and dim as the ISIS has the bad reputation of demolishing ancient sites that pre-date Islam in neighboring Iraq. So, all are in a state of anticipation and fear.
