More than a month has passed since Lindsay Lohan’s pre-dawn November 29 incident in the V.I.P. section of Club Ave.
The troubled “Mean Girls” star stayed in London rather than make an appearance at her misdemeanor assault case. She is accused of sucker-punching a Florida fortune teller.
Lohan was set to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court this month but she skipped the optional appearance after prosecutors postponed bringing charges against her. The reason for the delay is unclear but the Manhattan District Attorney’s office did not file against Lohan. For that reason her presence was not required at court according to David Bookstaver, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office.
According to the New York Daily News Lohan’s attorney told reporters outside of court that he has brought some credible evidence and testimony to the District Attorney’s attention. Some of that evidence includes an unaffiliated witness who said “Lilo” was completely innocent.
