Uplifting updates on Film Annex's platform
Posted on at
Film Annex is excited to announce that it is working toward creating an HD section on its platform where there will be no advertising. This way, content providers will be able to present their films and videos in the best quality possible while avoiding the disruption of video ads.
While other publishers and online video platforms in our industry have doubled the number of advertisements shown during their videos (some of the videos on Hulu are showing 2 video ads within the first 3 minutes of streaming), Film Annex is working toward achieving the exact opposite of this in order to satisfy its content providers and viewers.
In a recent article seen on NY Times, we read that "already some of Hulu’s commercial breaks are a bit longer than they used to be" and that they are "certainly open to subscriptions as a complement to an ad-supported model"(www.nytimes.com/2010/04/01/technology/01hulu.html). Film Annex would like to let its audience know that instead of adapting such a model, it is constantly working toward achieving better quality and showing less ads to make the viewers' experience more pleasing and less interruptive.
For this, we'd like to thank over 25,000 independent filmmakers who present their work on our platform. More details to follow...
Sincerely,
The Film Annex Team
