US man arrested carrying suspicious package climb to the White House fence

The US Secret Service has arrested a stranger climbed into the fence at the White House last night 19/4 local time, carrying a suspicious package. This is the latest in a series of security incidents at the White House recently.

Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary said in a statement that the strangers were immediately arrested while climbing the fence south of the presidential palace.


Several US newspapers reported that the intruder carrying a suspicious package that was later determined to be harmless. The name and sex of the person not be published.


The US Secret Service, is responsible for protecting the president, has been put on high alert in recent months after a series of security breaches at the White House.


On 19/09/2014, a veteran of the United States climbed over the White House fence, run the lawn area and infiltrate the building, carrying a knife in his pocket. This person has been arrested and is awaiting trial.
