Using Auto Responders to Get Your Message Across
The advantage of auto responders is that you can get your message across to your subscribers in any hour of the day or night; it even works while you are sleeping. It is not limited to one specific location. The world is as big or as small as your auto responder.
Creating a powerful message that’s delivered 24/7, requires some clever attention grabbing copy, that will get the readers interest and they in turn will want to know more.
-
First we need to concentrate on the message we wish to convey, many people make the mistake of talking about how good their company is, their products, and generally boast about themselves and even run their competitors down. If the reader gets to the end of the message they will not be particularly interested in what you have to offer.
-
When writing your sales letter or e-mail, you need to focus on the customer’s needs, and what you can do to fulfill their needs. For instance if a customer has a cleaning problem, they will want to know how to solve that cleaning problem effectively. A good sales letter will talk to the customers needs before mentioning the product that they have to sell.
-
The tone of your communication should be as if you are sitting face to face talking to your best friend. Put the personal touch to it, be friendly and informal in the way you approach them, using words such as and, but, and contractions such as you’re we’ll and not to forget don’t will make it more personal. You are not writing an essay to be judged on its literary skill. You are talking o the person and drawing them in to the ‘conversation’ you are trying to put across.
-
Offer the customer the benefits of the products. What benefits will the customer get by using the product? Will they save time, energy, derive better health, gain some or even a lot of pleasure by using the product. If the customer is made aware of the benefits he or she will derive from using he product then they are more like to buy the product. However a word of warning don’t make false claims. The customer may be beguiled once, purchase the product, and if it does not live up to expectations, they will not return to purchase again. Remember a satisfied customer always comes back for more.
-
Check your spelling, grammar and punctuation, a sales letter that is full of spelling mistakes, and bad grammar will be noticed, and will convey the message of carelessness, lack of attention to detail. If your language skills are not good, hire a professional to write your sales letter. Remember the sales letter is your communication tool use it wisely.
-
Use good layout and make it easier for the reader to read. Your heading should be bold attention grabbing and stand out on its own.
-
Make use of short paragraphs, 5-7 lines are average.
-
Make use of bulleted lists.
-
Centre and bold, enlarge the font for attention grabbing sentences that you want to highlight a point.
-
The conclusion of your e-mail should offer the reader a choice of either replying to your e-mail or an opportunity to visit your website. Offer contact information, address, telephone number, instant messaging contact. You want to be available to your potential customer, and you want them to feel that they can contact a real person not a machine.
-
Read and respond to all messages within a 24 hour period. A good auto responder program will automatically send a message when someone responds to e-mail campaign. By responding personally will often get you the sale.
Never offer false advertising, or spam people. Be aware of the laws and stick to them. If in doubt contact consult your attorney or accountant.
