Hi all,
I just wanna share with you guys the experience of mine for visiting the Naran & kashmir located in the Northern areas of Pakistan. First of all, i want to say that do visit these areas once in your life whether you are living in or out of Pakistan. These are literally like heaven on earth. Beauty of these places is cannot be described in words.
Naran is a small town located at a distance of 237 km from Islamabad & 120 km from Mansehra. Road is suitable for any kind of traffic but driving skills are really tested in this route. Journey is full of adventurous turns & beautiful sights of sky talking mountains. I visited Naran on Sep 2, 2016. Weather was a bit cloudy & a little rain was dropping down. I was accompanied with my two friends whom i joined from Mansehra. We reached Naran at 2 pm & soon after reaching Naran we took a jeep which carried us to Lake Saif-ul-Malook. We ate lunch at one of the hotels which was quite costly. Jeep owner gave us 3 hours time for recreation. We wandered all around the lake at got back to jeep at 5:30 pm. I am uploading a few pics too. We came back to Naran at 6 pm. We were quite tired because of 12 hours journey and all other stuff so we quickly took a room from one of the local guest houses & took a 3-4 hours nap which was necessary to regain our energy. Temperature was really low at Naran touching 5 deg C which i wasn't really expecting. We ate our dinner quite late at 12 am (soon after getting up from nap) from a famous restaurant "Punjab Tikka House". But it was of really low standard. But we had to eat it so we did. At hotel room, we watched a scary movie "The Conjuring 2" which proved to be really scary for me & i almost couldn't sleep for 1 hour.We slept for 5 hours and got up at 9 am. We got ready and ate breakfast which was special "Halwa Poori" and it was really delicious. We wandered through the bazaar of Naraan & spent some time on the bank of "Kanhar River". Then we decided to get back to Mansehra. On our way back, i was eager to visit "Neelum Valley" in Azad Kashmir but my other two friends wanted to go to the "Shogran", so in the middle of the journey we got separated. After reaching Mansehra, i offered Numaz & ate lunch & took a van to Mazaffarabad. First half of the road i.e. from Mansehra to Balakot is in good condition & suitable for any kind of traffic but other half is a bit shaky & under construction. I reached Muzaffarabad at 6 pm. Soon after getting there, i took a van to "Athmuqam" which is a 100 km from Muzaffarabad. I reached there at 9 pm, ate dinner. I took a room at a guest house named "New Murree Hotel". Spent night & woke up at 6:30 am. Got ready & ate a light breakfast. I wanted to catch a van which would take me to "Kel" (a beautiful town located further 90 km from Athmuqam) but i missed it. I took a bus back to Muzaffarabad & from there i went back to Rawalpindi via Murree. I reached Rawalpindi at 3pm, ate lunch & headed back to my hometown i.e. Gujranwala.
I hope u guys would like my story & thanks for reading !
