Finally we got our little mouse.

He came out of the living room into the dining room and finally small tabby cat became interested.

She and mouse were making such a noise that sleepy grey one next to me also went to check out the action.

When I saw little mouse standing stock still between them I thought I might stand a chance of getting him.

So here i was with an empty margarine tub crawling around under the table with the two cats cheering me on.

As they trapped it under the table I nearly caught it.
It ran under the sideboards and behind a jigsaw box.

The cats were still looking under the table - I think they are both a bit 'special'

Meanwhile husband turned the box so that it trapped mouse at one end and the tub I had waiting as hi gradually pushed the jigsaw box towards the wall leaving the mouse only the tub to run into.

I then slipped the lid over the box and handed it to husband who took it outside.

I just hope the cats don't manage to find it and bring it back in again.

We have farmer friends who think we are mad releasing these mice but neither of us want to kill them as they are so sweet but they belong out of our house NOT inside.

Cats are now both fast asleep again!
