What Are the Best E-Mail Marketing Campaigns

Businessmen, CEO’s, Retailers, Wholesalers, in fact anyone who intends to do business can use an e-mail marketing campaign. It’s one of the fastest, easiest and the cheapest way to present your products and attract potential customers.

Using an e-mail marketing campaign the retailer, owner, businessman has the opportunity of getting in touch with hundreds, even thousands of people who would want to look at your ‘online’ store which is your website.

There are three methods of doing this; I will list them in order of the best results:

  1. Using an opt-in list to market your products.

  2. Using a Newsletter to get the message across

  3. Bulk or mass e-mail marketing.

Opt-in lists are created usually from a website where the visitor will see something that they are interested in, on the website you will usually be given the opportunity to leave your name and e-mail address, many of these websites will offer a free download of something to you to enjoy for giving your contact details. In order to ensure that the person entering their name is a genuine person they will be sent a confirmation e-mail which will have a link embedded in it. The potential client then has to respond by clicking on the link to confirm that the e-mail address is valid.

Information gathered from opt-in are usually the most valuable, reliable and you can accept that these people have agreed to a e-mail marketing campaign.

The newsletter campaign is also a good method of getting a message across. Because this is not just a selling e-mail, a newsletter will offer more then products to sell, it will offer information of interest related to some of the companies products, tips, idea on improving a situation. Sometimes even trivia or jokes as long as they re in good taste would also be acceptable. Making the newsletter interesting with good content will keep the potential customer interested and eager to know more. The important thing is that the newsletter is more likely to be read then an e-mail that is just sales hype.

In the newsletter, you can also have special offers, freebees, etc, link these special offers, freebees to be obtainable on your website and you will have the potential on site ready to look around and possibly buy something. The name of the game here is to get the potential customers visiting your website.

He last option which is bulk e-mail marketing campaigns, they are often not worth the trouble and stress, often these lists are unsolicited addresses, gathered together and sold as legitimate lists. Be very warily of these, they can get your into trouble as they are often spamming people who have never agreed to receive information from anyone. Added to this, these campaigns are flops as the people receiving the e-mail will often trash them unread.

An e-mail marketing campaign done correctly can bring rich rewards, take your time, learn as much as you can about e-mail marketing and you will be happy with the results.
