We’ve all heard the ever puzzling question from the minds of doctors, psychologists, movie stars and practically all of mankind ask the question, what do women want?
Now this question implies that women are very complicated and hard to understand (from a man’s perspective); however, the same rings true about men through the eyes of a woman, especially in this day and age.
Women often assume that all men want is sex and food. Now although that reigns true for BOTH sexes; that is not all men want nor is it all women want.
Given the drastic changes in the dynamic of men and women the business world and the working population in general, more and more women are the breadwinners of the family. That being said, women are destroying the old-school thought of women being stay-at-home moms.
So, what does this say for men? Well, their roles are changing too. More are becoming stay-at-home dads. What does the change in roles have to do with what men want?
Well, changing roles go hand in hand with changes in personalities. Men these days tend to expect more from women than just being stay-at-home moms or wives.
They expect a woman to be good looking, meaning fit and well groomed, confident, ambitious, smart, funny, and stable with her career, also loves children. It seems the roles have reversed.
Stereotypically speaking, men often feel that women hold them to unrealistic standards believing we have a list that we check off on, and if they don’t pass all marks, we drop them.
Well, men do the same thing. I find the media has a lot to do with these unrealistic expectations, especially in Hollywood. Even though I slightly drifted on a tangent, the point is we are both guilty of certain unrealistic standards whichever they may be.
So, men want for you to be you. Nobody enjoys someone who is very superficial and utterly hollow inside. Basically, if you click, you click.
Don’t try to be someone you’re not because an article (or your mother) tells you that this is how you should, act, speak, smell, dress, and behave in order to please a man. Be true to yourself, bring down those walls and shred that unrealistic list, you’re all the advice you need. Enjoy!
