I know it's a little too late, but I think this still applies.
Christmas is the day when we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ, but what has become of it? Why do people tend to forget the true essence of Christmas? Is it so hard to grasp?
With the day of technology, and inventions made for the purpose of procrastination, the youth and the general public has fallen into it’s trap. Instead of people staying at home with their families and thanking God for his wonderful gift, you’ll find 30 to 40% of the general population spending their time getting wasted, and partying. What did they forget?
What we see today, during Christmas, is truly a reflection of what the book of romans chapter 3 states ; “There is None who seeks God.” Sin has creeped into every human lives, and has blinded it of what truly matters.
It disheartens me, every Christmas, to see my friends, my relatives, and my neighbors being devoured by the world, and blinded of the things of God. It saddens me to see that they are turning into stubborn stones no longer aware of the things of God.
