If you're planning on seeing movies this 4th of July weekend, here are my thoughts -- "Tammy" is a character driven comedy. The script is a bit off but I'm so happy to see a movie on 4th of July that doesn't have robots or gargantuan special effects; "Earth to Echo" charming and kids will like it but all I could think of was...E.T.; So my pick of the week is "Life Itself," a documentary about the late great Roger Ebert! It is really an inspiring homage from the "Hoop Dreams" director, Steve Jones, and executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Zaillian! It will be out on VOD and iTunes and in limited release in theaters this holiday weekend!
