The World Health Organisation (WHO) has cautioned that the current practice of indiscriminate use of antibiotics is increasingly leading to resistance to the drugs which in turn is resulting in persistence of infections and treatment failure. It is really a matter of grave concern to the whole human community because unless the practice can be checked immediately, there is every possibility that the world may again head towards a pre-antibiotic era. So, it is time to be careful about this ensuing danger.
