Mr. Sehmidt and Mr. Boone were angrily arguing when Marta reached her classroom to pick her shorts. The former was her history teacher and the latter maths teacher. They were arguing about  awarding the scholarship jacket to her or Joann.

Mr. Boone was an ally to Joann's father who was an influential personality. He was on the Boaed. Mr. Boone was trying to presude Mr. Schmidt to  falsely  Marta's academic records. But he refused to do it. He become extremely angry and came out of the room.
