There are some who can talk for hours on and on, about ... nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. You might be busy and have a million things to do that day and have no idea where to start and where to finish, and yet they feel like you have all the time in the world so they keep you on the phone for hours telling you about what they did the day before, what TV show they've watched, and even start describing the action of the show step-by-step.

When you try to cut them off they get offended and almost slam the phone, door and so on ... depending on the situation, if they are on the phone or in front of you.

Why do people chat about nothing for hours? Why can't they just say what they have to say and move along?
