Since the last twelve years and the fall of Taliban regime in Afghanistan, women in each sector have reached the ability to show their talents.
One of the sections that Heratian women could have shown their abilities is music.
Now a day a number of women are learning the instrument of the music and are attending music courses to learn singing and help support their families
Nargis a girl who has learned singing in Bastan Music Training Center and she said: “I was keen to music since I was a child, but the ground was not paved for me to under take it and now everything is ready for me and I use the opportunity and learn singing in this course.”
Nargis added: “It is two years I have learned singing and now I can go to the wedding parties for singing and earn money.”
Maryam is another 23 year old girl who is studying English at Literature Faculty of Herat University and she said: “I am learning how to play guitar and when I play it I get relaxation and it is one of my best hobbies.”
She says : It is one year that she is learning how to play guitar and and she plays it in her spare time and enjoy with her friends.
Bastan Music Training Center is a center only for women and it is going to be 7 years it is activating and could have train tens of girls Songs and other musical instruments academically
Heratian girls are going to break those old customs; not to learn music and facing to music every day more than the other day.
