His last words were a hymn of hope , not so much in regard to the salvation of life, but rather as a kind of religious appeal to new paths of human life, went to the young students who he talked:
No let yourselves be corrupted by a sterile and depressing skepticism ; Do not be discouraged at certain times of sadness passing over the nations . Live in the serene peace of laboratories and libraries . First ask yourself : What have I done to instruct me? And then, as you go progressing: What I've done for my country ? Until the day when you may have the personal satisfaction of think that you have somehow contributed to the progress and welfare of Humanity.
