Taking a stroll along the Pearl River in Guangzhou, China, will give you this most unusual view of the just completed Guangdong Plastics Exchange Research Center, or the so-called “Guangzhou Yuan Building.”
Bearing a striking resemblance to ancient Chinese copper coins, the 33-story building is 138 meters high and has a total area of 105,000 square meters. The structure, 146.6 meters in diameter, is said to be the world’s largest “round piece of architecture.”
