The World's oldest stone tools on record dating back 3.3 million years have been discovered near Lake Turkana in northern Kenya. In total some 149 have been found out. The discovery pushes the known date of such implements back by 700,000 years. The discovery also proves for the first time that makers of the tools had the thinking abilities needed to figure out how to make sharp-edged implements. It also shows that the tool makers had a strong grip and good motor control. So, the discovery is a great one and would change the concept about evolution of modern man.
