The old proverb "you can only lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink" comes to mind.

I can only offer the help. Eventually though if people won't help themselves, there's only so much that I can do.

I can't take someone by the hand and force them to do something.

That's really just something to think about in everything in life. When things spiral out of control and things get out of hand, you can only do what you can do. There are just some things that are out of your hands.

I hate when I'm not completely in control. But you know what I have to really accept that. It's just you ever go with the flow or you don't.
