Everyone is different, and in different ways you can see the difference. Voice, handwriting, act, clothes, and, well, more! I really hate it when people copy each other. What's really common is the way they act and, sometimes, handwriting. If you want to copy someone, you'll just be the same! If you had your own ways, it would show the YOU! Copying someone would never show the YOU! It would show the SOMEONE ELSE! 

But of corse changing or something is fine. Everyone changes, especially when they get older. You might change your favorite color, food, clothing. But when you decide to change, make it what YOU want. If you really want to change, do it because YOU want to! If your real favorite color is pink, and you copy someone by making it blue, it doesn't show the real you.

There is nothing wrong with looking something up online. A hairstyle, a... i dunno. But make sure it comforts you, or makes you look good to yourself. You never want to make a hairstyle you see online, but you don't like yourself! Sometimes you don't know what to wear or do, so you just search it up, which is fine, because the person who made the website was OK with you using it. 

Sometimes your friend might say "Oh, let's be twins!" or "Wanna wear the same clothes tomorrow?" Sure, you can wear the same clothes or hairstyle. Sure. If they let you. But sometimes, for example, someone might have dyed their hair green. They never said anything to you, but you want to dye your hair too. Just ask them! They might say yes and you guys can be great buddies! Well, if they say no, you don't need to do it. Do something else with your hair, or just do it anyways. Besides, it doesn't have to be the same shade or way it was placed on your hair. 

A lot of times someone might go up to you and say "You've been copying her" or "Stop copying her, be yourself". Sometimes you might NOT be copying the person! Just tell them, "Oh, I didn't mean to. I'm sorry. Do you want me to change or something?" Say it nicely, because you don't want to be a mean person. Think, what if you WERE copying them? You should stop, or just say sorry, because being yourself is a good lesson in life.
