YOUTH AND PAKISTAN
It’s been 66 years from independence but it seems like we are still slaves…. Let me confess that we knew generation don’t know how much sacrifices are made by our forefathers at the time of partition and by our armed forces who have been protecting our country for 66 years… we youth are very angry with our beloved country, we are really feel ashamed of saying that we are PAKISTANI, in Pakistan we heard that I am Punjabi, I am sindhi, I am pashtoon, but really few said that we are proud PAKISTANIS.. (Bit pause)…
Yes I accept this that our history has many dark sides... our country has many problems loadsheding, water shortage, ill law and order situations and political instabilities etc. but respected elders and fellows don’t you think we are also reason behind this….. (Bit pause) now you people are thinking that how are we reason behind this?? We are just newly born?? But honorable teachers and mates ask yourselves do we ever tried to know why why this country was made?? Why we fought for this land??What was the reason that people who belong to different cultures, norms and values get united for this piece of land?? Why?? Do we ever think about it??? By this silence I got my answer… no we never… (pause)… dear listeners we 2nd year students are planning to get scholarships in Dubai, America, Australia, Canada, etc. and PAK universities are our least option, we youngsters are worried about how to get visas for different countries but people we are the future of Pakistan (pause) but people who will give us that belief that we are PAKISTANI, no Sindhi, no Punjabi, no pashtoon, no Shia, no Sunni, only Pakistani…. But no one accepts us can do that…. But how we can??? … we don’t need to be a soldier to help our country… to change and make our land beautiful again we can be any one we want… if someone are business person so they can help country by investing in it… if some of us join politics so we can be a person with zero corruption etc. change can happen but only
By doing promise to ourselves and by our beloved and lovely motherland that we’ll sacrifice everything to keep our green flag high above in the sky…. (pause and light pure smile) and not to let fail Iqbal’s dream and be the shaheens of Iqbal…and take oath not to forget our Quaid’s teachings and we’ll write our history again, we’ll be the one to change our fates by hard works as we all know GOD HELP THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES…. Yes audience I know we have shortage of everything, we face many difficulties every day, our citizens are begging for justice, our business community is leaving this beautiful land but don’t forget our forefathers also faced these difficulties at time of partition did they give up?? Did they?? (Bit louder and with zeal) they never give up…. They stood still in front of every problem so why don’t we stand united to bring change…. United we stand, divide we fall…
(1st option to end speech)
I’ll complete my speech with some Urdu lines
Mere habib zara mere baat bhe sunn le
Tujhe qabool sahe jag-hansaiyan karna
Watan ke qarz han jitney utar de pehle
Phr iss ke baad watan ke buraiyan karna
(2nd option to end speech)
I’ll windup my speech by making dua that may the flag of my country furls very high… ameen sum ’ma ameen
And this country is a gift of God that it is said that
Khudda ke khaas rehmmat ha
Buzurgon ke basharat ha
Ke yeh naslon ke qurbani
Ke yeh naslon ke mehn at ha
Jabhi tareekh ne rakha ha
iss ka naam Pakistan
mera inaam Pakistan
mera pegham Pakistan
