Zindagi Gulzar Hai (Life is a Rose Garden) is a Pakistani TV Drama series that I like, the Drama ran from November, 30th, 2012 to May, 2013. Directed by Sultana Siddiqui and Produced by Momina Duraid and it was aired on HUM TV channel. The series is based on a novel by Umera Ahmad. This Blog will briefly shed some light on the characters and a brief plot summary.

Plot Synopsis:-

The story revolves around two people Kashaf Murtaza (Sanam Saeed) and Zaroon Junaid (Fawad Afzal Khan) with both with opposite thoughts and financial status. Kashaf comes form a middle class family and lives with her mother "Rafia" (Samina Peerzada) and her two sisters Shehnila (Sana Sarfaraz) and Sidra (Mansha Pasha). Kashaf's mother Rafia lost her husband to another woman because she could not give birth to a son. To take her pride back Kashaf strives to get admission in the Pakistan's top university where she encounters a rich big shot Zaroon Junaid.

At first Zaroon despises Kashaf but soon he develops feelings for her which lead to the two getting married. After getting married Zaroon realizes how materialistic life has kept him away from God, which is the True wealth. The story is very interesting as it reveals how two completely opposite personalities compliment each other through different stages of life and eventually develop a better understanding with each other. It is also very unique because it sheds some light on some of the very typical social problems which persist among lower and middle class Pakistanis.
