Uploaded on Thursday 11 June 2009
DESCRIPTION
In the summer of 1964, a voter registration drive provoked a violent backlash in McComb, Mississippi.
The Council of Federated Organizations (COFO) sent volunteers to McComb to help register African-Americans to vote.
Obama's campaign is very similar to those times when African-Americans were allowed to vote for the first time. Because it symbolizes change.
