Adam Frieman, an executive with more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry and one of the founding partners of Etico Capital, updates us on the private equity markets and discusses his views of the Venture Capital Markets today, the effect of the Facebook IPO on different markets, the European investor demand for U.S. small cap investing and his outlook for targeted social media.

Adam has previously served as a Partner at Probitas Partners, a venture capital and private equity fund placement firm; acted as the Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank for 12 years, serving as Deputy Head of US Equity Capital Markets. In addition, Adam founded and ran UBS’ award-winning Equity Risk Management Group, was a voting member, Equity Capital Markets Commitment Committee, Member, U.S. Equity Business Committee and Member, Investment Banking Business Review Group. Adam led, marketed, and executed in excess of 240 equity, convertible, pipe, and equity derivative transactions covering the full range of equity capital markets structures.

Prior to UBS, Adam co-founded the Strategic Equity Risk Management Group for Bankers Trust Company. Prior to this, Adam was a Vice President in Mergers and Acquisitions at Bankers Trust Company for eight years.

Adam has a BA in Economics from Brandeis University and a MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
