DESCRIPTION

Dr. C. Michael Smith is an accomplished educational leader both in the United States and internationally. In August 2009, he was named President of the American University of Afghanistan. Under his leadership, AUAF, the first private nonprofit university in the country, has received growing recognition as Afghanistan’s premier higher education institution. He believes that Afghanistan is a very young country and that a huge change will happen in the near future with the Afghan youth, including women, becoming the new generation of leaders.

دکتر مایکل اسمیت یک رهبر آموزشی با دستاوردهای چشمگیر در ایالات متحده آمریکا و در سطح بین المللی است. در آگوست ۲۰۰۹، وی لقب رئیس دانشگاه آمریکایی در افغانستان را از آن خود کرد. تحت رهبری وی، ای یو اف، اولین دانشگاه خصوصی غیر انتفاعی در این کشور، توانست عنوان رو به رشد ترین موسسه تحصیلات عالی در افغانستان را دریافت کند. او بر این باور است که افغانستان یک کشور بسیار جوان است و یک تغییر بزرگ در آینده ای نزدیک با جوانان افغان، از جمله زنان اتفاق می افتد،که در واقع این روند تبدیل شدن به نسل جدیدی از رهبران است.
