Welcome everyone to another episode of Banished. I'm quite looking forward to this game, so I hope all of you are too. Banished is a group survival game pure and simple. There are those calling it a city builder, but I'm not really sure it's that. There are no tech trees, and no real goal other than to survive. So, I'd definitely classify it as survival.

We've got to start to consider the health of our growing population. A really good early game add is an herbalist.

Secondly, we need to start to consider trade goods. Firewood makes an excellent trade commodity selling at 2 coins, but even better is ale. I don't want my population drinking, but if we ship off some booze to the other towns, well, that fine with me. In this episode we add our first field, an orchard actually, to make booze.
