“Brave” and “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” Movie Reviews – Which One is My Pick of the Week?
DESCRIPTION
Two big films are opening this weekend, we have “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” for action fans and “Brave” for the entire family. “Abraham Lincoln” is based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s book (he also wrote the screenplay) and Benjamin Walker stars as our beloved 16th President who moonlights as a vampire slayer. From “Wanted’s” Timur Bekmambetov and produced by Tim Burton, “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” has a head-scratching premise that you have to believe in order to enjoy the film.
“Brave” features the first ever female heroine in the Disney/Pixar cannon. And I say, it’s about darn time! Kelly McDonald voiced the lead role of Merida, a reluctant princess who wants to choose her own path in life. Emma Thompson voiced the Queen Mother, and for the first time, Disney/Pixar focuses on a mother-daughter relationship instead of the usual father/son drama.
But only one movie is my pick of the week, which one? Take a look:
