DESCRIPTION

This first compilation is a made from a series of stop motion animations created by grade 3 to 7 elementary school students who participated in the "Objects in Motion" animation workshops at the Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth.

The instructor was animation filmmaker Jeff Chiba Stearns who taught students how to make objects move using stop motion animation. Students had 15 to 20 minutes to create their animated segments in groups of 4 to 6 students. They could only use ordinary office supplies and create little scenarios and stories.

Overall there were over 60 groups of students who participated in the workshops over the course of 5 days.
