COOL STORIES FOR WHEN THE PLANET GETS HOT IV is the fourth biennial competition by ARTPORT_making waves for short art videos and animations by artists from around the globe who address climate change. In honor of the 2013 United Nations International Year of Family Farming, the contributions were required to focus on food production and agriculture. For this edition, international curators were invited to put forward a “personal view” and suggest artists from their part of the world. The goal was to feature a rich diversity of artists who comment on how food production and agriculture are manipulated by our demands yet dependent on climate conditions, and in turn determine how the planet and ultimately humankind will fare.
