Applied DNA Science shows a technology which uses plant DNA to mark criminals, cash, and almost anything else in the service of preventing crime. Dr. James Hayward describes the company's advanced anti-crime technology in a clip that includes real-time surveillance video of a famous U.K. robbery which was solved by the use of DNA-marked cash. Dr. Hayward also displays an anti-theft system which uses plant DNA in a water-based spray. The system is aimed at protecting pharmacies, banks and other high-value crime targets.
