DESCRIPTION

This is a video tutorial explaining how I recreated the initial sitar-like sound that is at the beginning of the Game of Thrones' main song.
A guitar hit with a drum stick was used as the core of the sound. I recorded several takes and ended up using 3. One panned to the right, one panned to the left, and one centered with a long reverb.
Then I layered a Shamisen and a Harpsichord from Ethno2 and Kontakt. Finally I added a Sitar from Ethno2 and a reversed cymbal.
