Gawah - Submission to ÉCU 2013
DESCRIPTION
The place is receded, the date is fixed, the time is locked and the target is marked – only the faces are uncertain – “tick tock” and louder the weight of time falls, “tick tock” and softer the smile glows, “tick tock” – its all blown! All gone!
“Gawah” brings to life the “show after the curtain falls”, “the silence after the applause,” and the “stapled cry of the bitter smile.” From history to present day, India has seen the largest stampede of human flocks being chased away from their homeland to the barbarism when humans became the puppets in the hands of ghosts to the mechanical precisions of a human hand turning the city into horror.
This film captures the pains of time by taking you into the grieving minds of victims who have gone through the aftermath traversing from the 1947 India-Pakistan Partition to the Mumbai terrorist attacks of 26/11 in 2008 and the July 13th serial blasts that took place in Mumbai in 2011…
Is the bomb still ticking????
