DESCRIPTION

Marzia came to the Global Medical Relief Fund from Afghanistan. She was injured in a firefight and lost her right eye from a gunshot wound. While in the USA, Marzia received nasal surgery to open her airways and aid in her breathing. After many fittings, she received a beautiful prosthetic eye... Her face lit up when she first looked in the mirror. It had been over six months since she had seen herself whole again.
Marzia has since gone home to Afghanistan and we look forward to having her back for follow-up visits. We miss her and wish her well!
