Uploaded on Sunday 18 November 2018

DESCRIPTION

As part of their winter warfare training in the far north of Norway, US Marines experience what it feels like to fall through ice into freezing water. Under instruction from UK Royal Marine winter warfare experts, they learn how to override their instincts, control their panic and safely get themselves out of the water. Footage includes interviews with US Marines performing ice-breaking drills during the field training exercise portion of Exercise White Claymore 18, and an interview with a UK Royal Marine instructor. US and Royal Marines hold these trainings annually near Bardufoss, Norway.
