Hi. Hello again everyone. This is me, Jvanity1, and this is my first official song cover for the year. I decided to upload a new song cover because well, to be honest, I can't think of anything to write about as of the moment and it has been almost a week since I haven't written anything. My mind is still blank. : ( Hence, I'm uploading this cover. I know I already did song covers before but this time, I already underwent formal voice training so I think this is also the best time to do covers. I decided to upload a Filipino cover. I understand that most of the viewers of this video will be non-Filipinos but the reason why I'm doing it is because I want them to feel the song and enjoy the music despite the language being different from theirs. This is also a good way to promote Filipino heritage.

From now on also, I might be switching from blogging to uploading song covers or just any interesting videos and vice versa. In my future covers, I'll most likely sing in a public place like this because I'm just living in a dormitory and there is no other area for me to showcase my singing skill but only at Karaoke stations. What I'm only showcasing in this video is my singing skill, that's why you will hear unnecessary noises in the background. Despite that, I still hope you'll like my cover and have a great day! :)

P.S. 'Pagkat Mahal Kita' (Because I Love You) is an OPM (Original Pinoy Music) originally interpreted by Bugoy Drilon. I chose this song because it has cute but romantic lyrics as it talks about assuring someone that you'll be there by his side no matter what happens. I think this song fits that of a love story of a couple I know where the guy is an introvert and shy but the girl is a very extrovert and loud.It was the girl who pursued the boy when it should have been the other way around as per standard Filipino culture, making their relationship unique. The girl even complained why the boy doesn't drink liquor but despite that, she still wants to keep their relationship. It's really magical to know that love can bind two people with extremely opposite personalities... together.
