DESCRIPTION

Terrorist attacks are one of the most challenging threats the international community has to deal with. As the attackers are constantly changing their strategies, authorities need to adjust their techniques over time, to minimise loss of life and prevent the attacks as much as possible.

NATO is funding a multinational course, led by the Irish Defence Forces Ordnance Corps, to share with commanders coming from all over the world the latest techniques to better manage and counter the terrorist threat.

Military and police personnel from 17 nations (Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Germany, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, Pakistan, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, UK and USA) representatives of the United Nations, the European Union and academia along with experts from the private sector, gathered in Ireland to share their expertise to fight a common enemy: terrorism.

Footage includes various shots of commanders attending the course, along with shots of them scouting a location as part of the real-life scenario training.
