Shirley MacLaine Interview for “Bernie”
Uploaded on Friday 25 May 2012
DESCRIPTION
It was an honor talking to the Oscar-winning icon regarding her new role in the fantastic mystery/dramedy “Bernie.” Based on real-life story, Maclaine plays the mean, ornery, rich widow, Marjorie Nugent, who gets befriended by the town mortician, Bernie (the excellent Jack Black). And then…murder happens. Director Richard Linklater (“Dazed and Confused,” “School of Rock”) appropriate calls his film the East Texas “Fargo.”
In this interview, MacLaine and I talked about:
*** Her interest in working for “Bernie”
*** How she prepared to be an old “bitch” for the role
*** Working with Jack Black
*** Working with director Richard Linklater
HAVE FUN!
