DESCRIPTION

"Stable Life" is a new submission to the 9th edition of ÉCU - The European Independent Film Festival. It is a family drama about undocumented immigrants chasing the American dream in the stables of racetracks. Dionicia M. lives with her family in a tack room on a Northern California racetrack and works long hours for little pay tending horses. Despite her humble surroundings, Dionicia is optimistic about her prospects: she likes her job, her two US citizen boys are in school, and her oldest son José Luis has begun a promising career as a jockey in California.
