Recycling has never been more important than in the food industry. We waste 1.3 billion tonnes a year in food; that food could have fed millions of starving people around the world. It also represents a tremendous waste of energy, given the effort required to process, package and transport that food. Steve and Ben discuss the horrendous waste of food in our culture, as well as options being developed to turn food waste in to energy.
