Xcorps Motorsports Bandit X project Part 2 - The phoenix project is getting under way. We found a great restorations shop in Santee California to base the project. So Cal Paint Works has stepped up to take on the project and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
The Xcorps shoot crew went down for their customer appreciation day and saw some of the cars that they had done and we were hooked. They are going to strip the car completely down to bare metal and start from scratch. If your looking for a shop to restore your car or do the paint work we highly recommend So Cal Paint Works. 
Gregg Scott will be doing the 455 engine for the Phoenix Project. 
He has a long history in drag racing and builds engines for some of the top racers at Barona Drag Strip. He builds high horsepower engines that are street driver friendly. 
Our friend Dave over at Pro Touring F-body is supplying us with the suspension parts that we need for our Phoenix project aka Bandit X. We are up grading to solid sub frame bushings, tubular upper and lower control arms, sub frame connectors, new coil springs, rear leaf springs along with his adjustable shocks. All this is going to make the car handle way better than it ever did. Well be out tearing up the auto cross like it was a Sunday drive in the country.
We would like to thank Pilo Chevy Parts for supplying us with all the weather stripping and rubber bumpers for our car. 
Paul carries a full line of restoration parts for your classic GM vehicle. He can get everything from interior stuff to decals.

 XCORPS TV is doing a complete resto-mod of a 79 trans am and you get to watch the whole thing on the show and get all the extra footage right here. 
This a complete top to bottom restoration with a few modifications here and there. This 79 Trans am 400 4 spd car with A/C, pwr windows, 4 wheel disc brakes, AM/FM CB radio combo, dlx interior, WS6 suspension is going to get reworked with a suspension up grade.
We are also looking to put a 5 speed over drive transmission in it to improve gas mileage and performance.
The motor is going through a change itself. A full roller motor with aluminum heads and aluminum flywheel. The original 400 was lost sometime ago but we were happy to find that it was replaced with a Pontiac 455, so with a little help this thing should put out over 450 horses.
