Jen Gatien is an independent producer based in New York City. She has produced 17 feature films with both award-winning and emerging directors.


Jen’s work includes Chelsea on the Rocks, a film about the iconic Chelsea Hotel directed by Abel Ferrara and starring Ethan Hawke and Dennis Hopper, which premiered in the Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival. Hounddog starring Daokta Fanning and Robin Wright, Holy Rollers starring Jesse Eisenberg, and For Ellen starring Paul Dano all premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Kiss of the Damned, directed by Xan Cassavetes, premiered at the Venice Film Festival and South by Southwest. Alongside Spike Lee, Jen also produced Evolution of a Criminal for PBS, a film written and directed by Darius Clark Monroe on the bank robbery he committed as a teenager. Other films include Furlough starring Melissa Leo and Anna Paquin, and Midnight Sun starring Bella Thorne.


Recently, Jen has developed the feature film Limelight with Amazon Studios, which will be directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. The script was written by Nick Pileggi and Becky Johnston. She is also currently in production on Tunnel: Hip Hop in New York City, a documentary about the legendary nightclub that was a proving ground for some of today's biggest rap artists, directed by Sacha Jenkins.


Since 2012, Jen has served as vice-chairperson of the board of the Lower East Side Girls Club and is a volunteer for Pupstarz Rescue. She is a graduate of Columbia University.
