Since 2005 Jalalabad, Afghanistan has been home to a small group of international volunteers who have worked closely with the schools, clinics and agricultural departments within Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar. These volunteers came from all over the world, from different organizations and with different backgrounds – but they came with one purpose – to help educate and empower the Afghan men, women and children.
Over time an organization grew from the relationships that were established among the volunteers and the local community; they referred to themselves as the Synergy Strike Force.
SSF’s primary mission is to share information with anyone who seeks it out. To share information is to spread awareness and educate people to make better informed decisions.
With decades of first hand experience working in Jalalabad, learning about the culture and building lasting relationships with the people – SSF continues it's mission of sharing information and spreading awarness by creating Jalalawood.
