Born in Bogotá, studied in Cali, Madrid and New York. After a year of studying in Rhinebeck Central School in the State of New York and then in the Departmental Institute of Art and Culture in Cali. He began as a creative assistant and then as a creative director in advertising agencies. He directed the production design for Sergio Cabrera’s film “Ilona Llega con la Lluvia”, and for years has been the Creative Director for his own advertising agency, Cigoto Ltda. Currently, he works as a Director of commercials, video clips, documentaries, up fronts, and openings for series and soap operas in CIGOTO FILMS, his film production agency in Bogotá Colombia.
He has directed two long feature films, "El escritor de telenovelas" y "El control" and has written several scripts.
