I was always a big fan of art and animation and as a child I was overwhelmed by the magic and emotion an illustration, a movie, in particular animation, can achieve. My starting point was definitely “The Nightmare Before Christmas” by Tim Burton, a classic incredibly well animated stopmotion feature film. The art and design of the film and the technique behind the movie made me eager to create design and whole fictional worlds by myself with a preference in concept art and great interest in technology.

After completing the Abitur I studied Mediadesign in Germany. During my studies I was involved as designer in serveral university film productions (StrikeBoys – Barfing Barfly, musicvideo; !AyCaramba!, animated short; Genuss seit Generationen, commercial // Winner of the König Ludwig Trophy 2008) as well as an internship at ARRI Digital Film & TV Services in Munich as 3D artist (for feature films eg. “Herr Bello”).

I graduated as Diplom Designer (FH) with the nominated 3D animated illustrative shortfilm “The Tale Of Mr. Revus” (running length 12min) produced in Softimage XSI.
