Stefano De Luigi (Kholn, 1964)
He is a professional photographer,his features have been published among many magazines like Stern, Paris Match, Le Monde 2,Time, New Yorker, EyeMazing, Geo, etc
In images of supercharged color and muted hues, Stefano De Luigi has photographed the parallel worlds of stage sets – from the porno industry, the world television, men’s fashion and men’s identity, to the world’s movie sets far removed the Hollywood dream factory. His photographic prizes include the W. Eugene Smith Fellowship Grant in 2007 and a World Press Photo award in 1999.
In novembre 2006 he started a new project dedicated to the World Cinema, featured for countries, which intend to narrate the alternative cinematographic scene, far from the Hollywood commercialism. (China, Iran, Russia, Argentina, Nigeria, India…).
Cinema Mundi was also featured as a short film in this year’s 60th edition of Switzerland’s Locarno Film Festival (2007).
